Earthquake in Turkey: the special rescue team has found ten survivors in Antakya

On Tuesday, at 7pm Hungarian time, a man was lifted from the ruins by the HUBA Rescue24 International Fire and Rescue Team of Hungarian Baptist Aid in Turkey. 


After the earthquake in Turkey, the members of the rescue team of Hungarian Baptist Aid rescued a 22-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 38-year-old man from the ruins in Antakya, which is located near the Syrian border. On Wednesday, a middle-aged man was rescued independently, and his children, a 13-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, as well as a middle-aged woman were brought to the surface together with a Turkish rescue team. On Thursday, in the early hours of the morning, an elderly grandmother was lifted from the ruins of the terrible earthquake together with the Turkish rescuers. The HUBA Rescue24 International Fire and Rescue Team and an emergency medical team with 19 people and 8 rescue dogs are working hard to find as many survivors as possible: now every hour counts, the final race against time has begun, as the nights are freezing . So far, a total of ten living persons have been found by the search dogs of the Hungarian team, or have been rescued by the special ambulances and medical and humanitarian care professionals who set off on Monday evening.

The HUBA Rescue24 International Fire Brigade, Search and Rescue Team and an emergency medical team with 19 specialists and 7 rescue dogs, arrived in Adana on Tuesday morning, under the direction of commander László Pavelcze, HBAid’s Emergency Management Director, after the Turkish authorities requested international help.
